I was talking to my dad on the phone yesterday and I was realizing how different I am than when I left. I have a feeling he noticed as well. I feel so much more alive and purposeful. I couldn't stop speaking about the workings of the Holy Spirit not only in my life, but in the lives of those around me. I've experienced things here that before, had always been a mystery. I feel like I've missed out on so much that I don't have to! The Western church a lot of the time acts in a way that they don't "need" God, but here in Africa, God is all they have, so they rely fully upon him and trust the Spirit to move in supernatural ways. It's exhilarating. In our life group, we watched a film called The Finger of God, and a lot of it happens to take place in Redding, Ca. If you can get your hands on a copy of this documentary, DO IT. It talks all about the power of the Spirit and the workings around the globe. God gave us gold dust on our hands two weeks in a row. How cool is that? We didn't even ask for it, it just happened.

 

My last blog spoke about how I have been under immense stress and anxiety. Well, that has since been taken away from me and I feel alive and refreshed and ready for more. God is so good.  I don't even really know what to say about it, except that God can refresh your soul and is more than willing to do so.
