Twenty-four hours to go.

I’m so excited, my adventure of a life-time is about to begin. I had plans to see a lot more people while I was here.  I didn’t get to say all my good byes either.  I’m so sad that I’ll miss Madelyn’s birth, and at least one wedding. But this is the life of a world traveling missionary.

I was driving through downtown Livermore tonight and it was such a weird feeling. I was looking around at all that I am leaving behind. The 20-somethings-single/bar scene, good friends just hanging out, new restaurants that I never had the chance to try, frappuccinos at my fingertips, going dancing…
But of course, I’m leaving all these things behind to pursue my greatest dream.  I’ve been waiting for this for such a long time, and it is finally here.  Monday is the first day of the rest of my life. … I’m actually kinda glad to be getting out of here; it seems very timely as gas prices are ever rising, the economy is going down the drain, jobs are just about as hard to come by as a strapping young man, and things are more and more unpredictable.

I hope you’ll keep in touch. I’ll be available by phone until tomorrow (Sunday) night. After that, it’s email, blog, and skype.  I’ll miss everyone terribly, but am SO GRATEFUL for all the support that I’ve been given. This would be impossible without the love and support from all.
 THANK YOU to everyone.
