I am so excited about girl's ministry at FIREhouse. There
has been a huge need for girl's ministry for quite some time. Because Carmen is
the only girl on leadership at the moment, it's been difficult for her to
attend to all the needs of the 30-50 girls that attend FIREhouse on a regular
basis. Not to mention, she's also attending University during the daytime. She
is an incredible girl, and friend, who really has a heart for these girls, but
just needs a hand to be able to balance everything.

I've been brainstorming with friends, talking with Carmen,
and asking the FIREhouse girls what they would like to see happen. For the next
two weeks at FIREhouse, we are splitting the guys and girls. Carmen and I are
in charge of the girls and we'll have help from a couple other ladies as well.
We will have discussion time, small group time, and we'll have a question box
that the leaders will be able to answer. I'm really looking forward to having
this time to get to know the girls better as individuals and to get to know the
ones that may have been hiding in the shadows up until this time.

From this, we are going to start a girl's Coffee Club. Every
other Friday we'll meet at a local coffee shop just to chat as girls and
connect outside of church. I'm also going to start a girl's social evening once
a month; movie night, hang out at the beach, sleepover, etc.

I feel very empowered by the leaders. They are giving me a
lot of freedom to minister in the ways that best suit me. I feel like my
ministry is finally starting to take form; it's very exciting!

Tristan, the youth pastor, really wants me to be discipling
more girls one-on-one, which is a huge passion of mine. So, pray that God will
bring the right girls into my life that need someone to walk with them.
